The tanks for beer of the series BF and BM are conceived for beer fermentation and maturation. Boema S.p.A. manufactures 2 types of tanks for this type of sector: beer fermentation tanks and beer maturation tanks. The beer fermentation tanks are provided with a conical bottom having a big slope (about 60°), while the beer maturation tanks are provided with convex bottoms and can work under pressure (PED tested). In this type of tank a great importance is given to the possibility to clean each part of the tank which is in contact with the product. Moreover, for this reason the finishing of the inner sheets is mirror polished. The correct temperature of the product is granted by the cooling interspace on the bottom and on the cylindrical plating of the tank. The shape of the interspace is designed by Boema to grant an optimal circulation of the heating fluid and an high reliability: all the interspaces are tested for 6 bar. To minimize the thermal dispersion, the heated parts are covered with a high density isolating layer, closed into an outer jacket made of stainless steel and completed welded.
